You can use Actionstep to host a company-wide knowledge base or intranet where you can upload documents and links to Internet resources. Selected pages within your knowledge base can be linked to steps in a matter type's workflow so staff can access the relevant resources at the time they are performing the related function. This "smart help" can be organized and searched using a table of contents.
Some types of content you may want to maintain in a knowledge base include:
- Company policies and procedures
- Employee handbook
- Health and safety information
- Internet resources
- Sales and marketing material
- Local information (cafés, restaurants, public transport)
TIP: In addition to a company-wide knowledge base, Actionstep also allows you to create wikis, which are associated with a specific matter type. Unlike the Knowledge Base, a wiki can be exported with each matter type to create self-contained apps that can be installed in other Actionstep systems. To learn more, see Adding Content to a Matter Wiki.
