NOTE Trust requests are currently available upon request for New Zealand customers only. Please reach out to Actionstep support to have this enabled. |
NOTE Trust Request Permissions are currently only available on Practice Pro + Accounting systems. |
In order to set up permissions involving trust requests you need to go to Admin (spanner right hand at top of screen) - then Users and Permissions - then on the right hand side of the screen click on Data Permissions.
You then need to select the System Role on the feft hand side that you want to change the trust request permissions for and change the System Object to Trust Accounting.
You will then see in the list of options relating to Trust Requests. You can click on the tick to give that System Role that particular permission. A table is below outlining what each permission gives the user the ability to do.
Permission | Explanation |
Can read only trust request and transaction details | Gives the user the ability to read the trust requests and details regarding the transaction ONLY. |
Can create and update a Trust Request | Gives the user the ability to create trust request and also update trust requests. But does not include details pertaining to the trust transaction itself. |
Can add/update transaction details | Can add and update the trust transaction details as well for example, the bank account number on a trust request, date or amount. |
Can Update Approved transaction details | Can update a trust request after it has been approved for example, the bank account number, date or amount. We would advise restricting this permission only to administrators and trust accountants who are authorised to amend approved trust requests. |
Can delete request | Ability to delete a trust request. |
Can be approver | Gives the ability to approve a trust request, reject a trust request or request further information. |
Can add/remove request approvers | Gives the ability to add or remove approvers to a trust request. |
Please note that any permissions regarding trust transactions (for example, viewing, creating and reversing trust transactions) remain as they are currently are within your system.
