Report permissions Screen
By default, all reports are displayed alphabetically in the table. Although, changes to columns, sorting, and filters will be saved and displayed as such upon the user’s next visit.
The Report permissions table has at least 7 columns (detailed below).
ID | The unique identifier of the reports. These IDs are the same in every system. |
Report Name | The name of the report. The name is hyperlinked to the Report permissions editor (Editor detailed below). |
Report Description | A short description of the report’s functionality. |
Report Group | The category for a given report. These categories cannot be edited. |
Report Locations | Displays where the report can be accessed (detailed below). |
Status | Will display if the report is Active or Deprecated. Deprecated reports cannot be used. |
Admin | A toggle for whether or not users with the (default) Administrator role can access the given report. |
Additional System Role Columns | Each system role receives its own column to toggle reports on (checked) and off (unchecked) for that role. |
Report Permissions Editor
The Report Permissions Editor can be used to allow or restrict access to reports by system role and change the location of the report.
The Report Permissions Editor can be accessed by selecting the hyperlinked report name in the Report Permissions table or via the viewbar by checking the report row and selecting Edit.
Report Name | The name of the report. This cannot be edited. |
Description | A short description of the report’s functionality. This cannot be edited. |
Allowed System Roles | Allows the user to select and deselect system roles. The selected roles can access the report. The deselected roles cannot access the report. |
Report Locations | Dictates from where the report can be accessed. Multiple locations can be selected. See detailed locations below. |
Report Locations
Accounting Reports | Accounting Reports are accessible in Reports > Accounting Reports. |
Action Reports | Action Reports are available on the Reports screen in a matter. |
Billing | Billing reports can be accessed at Reports > Billing Reports. |
Marketing Reports | This is a deprecated location. Reports assigned to Marketing Reports will be inaccessible. |
Sale & Purchase Reports | Sale & Purchase reports are run from a Sale/Purchase screen (invoice/order/quote screen) such as Accounting > Sales > Invoice > {Select invoice}. They can be selected via the Reports button at the bottom of the screen. |
Trust Accounting Reports | Trust Accounting Reports can be accessed at Reports > Trust Reports. |
Workflow Reports | Workflow reports can be accessed at Reports > Matter Reports. |
