Setting Early Access and Feature Preview Options in System Preferences (Admin)

Modified on Tue, 3 Sep at 5:28 PM

Actionstep allows you to opt-in to previewing features prior to them being made mandatory for everyone. You can also get early access to some features. This article covers how to access and turn on the feature preview and early access functions.

When enabled, the feature preview option allows you to try new features that Actionstep has developed before they are applied to everyone. When enabled, the Early Access Group feature allows you to preview features even earlier while they are still being tested by Actionstep.

WARNING: Only users with admin access can enable these different Feature Preview options.

To do this:

  1. In Actionstep, go to Admin > General Settings. The System Preferences page appears.
  2. In the Feature preview section, toggle Enable to on to enable feature previews. The features that are available for preview are listed under Features in preview.
  3. Optionally, toggle Early access group to on to view of a list of features that are in beta testing under Features in early access.
  4. Review the two lists and toggle any features you want access to to on
  5. When you're finished making your changes, click Save.

NOTE:  The list of available features is frequently updated based on Actionstep's release schedule.
