Participant types can be used to classify groups of people within your different workflows. They are referred to as parties within matters.
By default, Actionstep includes a list of common participant types. However, if you have a participant type that isn't included in this list, you can add it so that it can be used in your different matter types as well as in any documents you associate with your matters or clients.
Adding participant types to your matters allows you to assign contact records according to how they will be involved. This is useful not only for knowing who is playing what role in the matter, but also for automating tasks and other items in the workflow.
To access participant types:
- In Actionstep, go to Admin > Additional settings. The Additional Settings page appears.
