Brief Description
This report shows the number of closed matters by month by the last step before becoming closed. It also shows total number of new matters for that month.
Use Cases
This report is useful for pinpointing when the workload was high and how the business coped with that pressure.
Finding and Using the Report
- In Actionstep, go to Reports > Matter Reports > Audit.
Then, refer to these articles for help generating and saving reports for future use:
Available Filters
- Year: Choose the year you want displayed in the report. Information will only be displayed for the selected year.
- Matter Type: Choose the matter type you want included in the report.
Report Output
- MTD Columns: The MTD columns denote the month to which the numbers are attributed. These are the number of New Matters and Closed Matters by Last Step as designated by the row.
- New Matters: This row shows the number of matters created in the given column's month or year.
- Closed Matters by Last Step: This row is technically a column header with the specific step names listed underneath. Only steps on which matters were closed are displayed. Selecting a hyperlinked number in a row displays the Matter IDs and names of the closed matters. Selecting the Matter name will open the matter in a new tab.
- Total Closed Matters: This row displays the number of closed matters for the corresponding month or year.
- YTD: The YTD column sums the MTD column figures to display totals for the corresponding rows.
Additional Notes
This report is automatically generated when you first access it. By default, the Year is set to the current year and the Matter Type is set to the first alphabetically listed matter type in your system. It does not allow you to click on the closed numbers to see the matters that were closed or opened.
