Logging in with Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

Modified on Wed, 11 Jan 2023 at 10:20 PM

This article will walk you through logging into your Actionstep account using Single Sign-on with your Google or Microsoft account. SSO makes it simpler and easier to access your Actionstep system.

Benefits of SSO

Single sign-on is beneficial for several reasons:

  • Fewer passwords to remember

  • Quicker log in when already signed into a service

  • More layers of security

Using SSO

  1. On thelogin screen, select the "Sign in with Microsoft" or "Sign in with Google" button
  2. This will launch the respective service and prompt you to log in (if you're not already logged in).
  3. If multi-factor authentication is turned on in your Actionstep system and your connected service (Microsoft/Google), you will need to authenticate for both Actionstep and the connected service.
  4. Once you are logged into your account, Actionstep will check to see if your Microsoft or Google login email address is the same as a login email address for Actionstep. If it is, you will be logged in, with access to your systems.
